The Graduation Mix-Up
What This Story Was Really About
Naiya had to give something up to move forward. The adventure is about making that decision. Underneath, it's about why letting go can feel harder than the new thing is worth — even when you know the move is right.
Ask Them This
“Have you ever not wanted to stop doing something — even when something better was waiting?”
Listen For
Your child naming the feeling, not just the logic. 'It felt weird' or 'I missed it even though I wanted the other thing' — that kind of answer means the story landed exactly where it was supposed to.
There are no wrong answers. The goal isn't to see if your child learned something — it's to find out what the story already gave them. Whatever they say is worth hearing.
